Impact Cleaning Services Ltd. is rooted in history and tradition. Although times have changed since 1954, our commitment to quality assurance and service has remained the same. A tradition we are proud to call our own.
Impact Cleaning Services Ltd. was founded in 1954 by Ronald Alexander Young, a Scottish immigrant who cleaned a store front window in Toronto for the cut-rate price of 75 cents. This was the beginning of Scot Young Ltd. By 1960, the company expanded its small window cleaning jobs and developed into all phases of contract cleaning services which employed more than 300 people.
The continuous success of the company in 1961 led to an expansion into the United Kingdom, and another successful branch which opened in Glasgow, the founder’s home town. Scot Young Ltd. implemented highly advanced automated techniques, which provided an advantage over its competition in both the United Kingdom and Canada. That experience placed Scot Young Ltd. in a unique leading position, one which provided his clientele with supreme originality and complete satisfaction.
During the company’s operative time, Scot Young Ltd. eventually became a dominant force in the Toronto cleaning market, covering over five million square feet of area nightly and employing more than 400 people. Today, Impact Cleaning Services Ltd. continues the tradition where Scot Young left off, the same ideals and principals that made Scot Young the innovative company it was.
